Billie Eilish - You Should See Me in a Crown Lyrics Meaning

In my interpretation...

She says "You should see me in a crown,Your silence is my favorite sound, I'm going to run this nothing town, watch me make em' bow one by one by one..."

This shows she has power, she want's to be powerful over anyone and everyone. She wants to have people that look up to her almost worship her.

She goes on to say "Count my cards watch them fall, blood on a marble wall, I like the way they all scream, tell me which one is worse, living or dying first, sleeping inside a hearse, I don't dream."

She will "kill" to be on top, she likes the power so much it gives her satisfaction to see others downfall relating to "I like the way they all scream".

She goes on to say which is worse living or dying first, this shows what's the point of living if you are not on top, basically saying if you aren't at your highest power you are dead. Her not dreaming tells us that she has a direct sense of getting what she's doing done, it's not like a dream of hers to do it. She's literally going to do what she wants right here and now.

She says "come over baby, I think you're pretty, I'm ok, I'm not your baby, If you think I'm pretty you should see me in a crown..."

Because she is compared to a Queen she will not let someone call her something or tell her what to do, but instead she wants them to know that she is powerful by "seeing her in a crown and what she can do"
