James Blunt - No Tears Lyrics Meaning

I saw a live video of James Blunt sing this song. His eyes appeared to be filled with tears. I returned to hear this song again. I wanted to understand why he wrote this song. I am a Spirit filled Christian. My take is of James Blunt's own Spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ. He was born to a good life. He doesn't know why. His fathers absence may have been before he had a personal relationship with God. His, I think, is referring to Mary, Jesus's Mother. Why would God give her Jesus then take Him so young? H goes back and forth to Jesus and his own life.
No tears for the life Jesus led. This was God's purpose for him. He says Jesus had angels and did Jesus hear them before he died.Then, he has been all he wanted to be, a sort of "thank you" to Jesus. So, no tears when he passes away.
He has had good times and sad times and is telling Jesus he belongs to Him. grieve for ones left behind because there is no need for tears in Heaven.
This is like a prayer being sung.

This song touches my soul. If one truely hears the words this song is beautiful
