I think it means that there will come a time that you'll fall out of love in the relationship, like here, the other person thinks they should let their love go because of it, but the second person thinks that if there's still love even a bit of it, (we're collecting dust but our love's enough) they can still regain what they had lost, because their love is worth it, after all they have been through. its worth the try. because it was true. the love's just hidden and forgotten because of everything that has been happening, their mind has ruled over their heart. but the other person's willing to fix it, bring it back from rust to new. they are not broken, their love's just bent, it can come back again, you can fall in love again with the same person all over again.
I can fully relate to this song, it gave me hope with my relationship. I've been with my girlfriend for almost 6 years now. and we had a very beautiful relationship now that I see it, I've forgotten yes, I almost gave up. but now I know I should fight for it. because there's still hope, and love, we're not broken, just bent.
