Dig a Pony Lyrics Meaning

Im a huge beatles fan, but not a historian, so i could be wrong.
But to me, there are alot of convoluted lines, some probably with a meaning, some probably just word play, but the chorus, "All i want is you" is repeated after every line. As if no matter what thought, arguments, ideas, no matter what happens at the end of the day, "all i want is you". No matter what the others said about Yoko, at the end of the day she is what he wanted. To me its a love song wrapped around the conflicting ideas of the band at the time.
