She's My Collar Lyrics Meaning

I believe this is a song about 2-D and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, and ex-guitarist of the Gorillaz, Paula Cracker. He seems to still get pulled back from time to time, hence her being, his "collar". Especially if you take into consideration the forst lyrics of the female singing, "I was yellow, he was blue."...a double-meaning perhaps, seeing that 2D has blue hair, and Paula looks like she may be of asian-decent. Also, meaning that he was "blue" when he found out she was cheating on him, and she was "yellow" (yellow-bellied/scared) for cheating, and subsequently leaving the band....anyone else make these connections?
